About Katheryne!

"My father was a keen sportsman with chronic back and neck problems. I taught myself massage and basic herbal medicine so that I could treat him and alleviate his suffering. This ultimately paved the way for a career in complementary medicine spanning 27 years."

Experience

Katheryne initially worked as a masseuse in private practice, she went on to combine work and study at the International College of Oriental Medicine. While undertaking her training in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine and after completing a further course in massage she worked in the ICOM Massage Clinic. She has worked in multi disciplinary clinics for the last twenty years

Fully Qualified

Katheryne studied Oriental Medicine at the International College of Oriental Medicine UK, West Sussex from 1991 to 1995, gaining a provisional Licentiate of Acupuncture in 1994, and on completion of further studies and the submission of a thesis a Full Licentiate of Acupuncture in 1995.

As part of CPD (Continuous Professional Development ) a further 2 year course in massage was completed in 1993, LCSP (London and Counties Society of Physiologists), at the International College of Oriental Medicine.

She studied Herbal Medicine Phytotherapy at the School of Herbal Medicine, Kent from 1984 to 1987, qualifying also in Swedish Massage in 1986 with distinction. She took short courses in Iridology, and Bach Flower Remedy’s in London in 1985.

CPD is an ongoing commitment to continuous review, keeping current with the latest research on skills and approach. Most recently her CPD has focused on the latest approaches in the treatment of children.
